Which season is best to get married in Tuscany

The data on tourism in Tuscany shows that more and more weddings take place in the winter. Cities like Florence or Siena offer beautiful locations where you can organize wedding ceremonies even in the coldest months of the year.

But of course the vast majority of couples get married in the spring or summer.

The warm temperature of the ๐Ÿ”Š bella stagione (the beautiful season such as spring and summer), and the possibility to celebrate the wedding in the villas on the hills, with garden and pool, are the main reasons why people choose Tuscany.

There's more: in Tuscany, the wedding day can be part of the honeymoon; and a romantic getaway for guests.

Civil marriage: where to get legally married in Tuscany

Until the 1990s civil marriages were made official in the halls of Italian municipalities: a hasty ceremony, without guests, in an office space.

In 2000, a law was passed allowing Italian municipalities to celebrate civil wedding cerimonies in various locations. For example, more and more Italian cities on the coast are allowing wedding on the beach.

Naturally, the municipalities of Tuscany welcomed the news with open arms.
